great cooperations going on

14/08/2010

At the festival Hiesige & Dosige, we presented for the first time our new band project “all bastardistas” – a big formation featuring great musicians from all over the world. The “all bastardistas” concept is a very dynamic meeting of great musicians and dancers, performing brazilian bastardsound.
Célia Mara’s bombastic show featured: our italian friends albert sardei /It/RUA – voc and the amazing ash lombardo/It/SUD – perf.+voc, our fantastic musicians wolfo schmidt/A- keys, juan garcia herreros/COL/USA – bass, lukas knöfler/A -drums, rauf kahouli/TN – perc, paula caal/BR – perc, alexander vladigeroff/BG – trump, sigi finkel/D – sax and our brazilian singer Nila Rosa and dancer Carla Almeida. Video online soon.

La banda di piazza caricamento is a multi-ethic group based in genova… migration is an essential theme – the musical expression is ethno-punk – and we love it! we already started the cooperation last year with amazing shows in Udine and Genova… we performed together in july, again in genua and in Torino with antonella ruggiero . next is a big show together in Varadzin @ Spançirfest – hope to see you there.

But that’s not all! We have a hot Bossa Fall in front of us… The Milton Nascimento partner, one of the founders of “The clube da esquina”, Big Bossa Nova composer and inetrpreter, sideman, arranger and composer of greatest brazilian artists – like Elis Regina – is with us! Nelson Angelo will give a few shows together with Célia Mara – love songs in a bossa mood…
watch out!

passwords… & Meus Amores

19/04/2010

you know how it feels…
anyhow, we’re back now. Back from the first Meus Amores Shows with Benjamim Taubkin/Brazil/piano & Margarethe Deppe/Germany/cello…
We started our small Austria début Tour in Gutenbrunn @ Bühnenwirtshaus Juster. 2 worky days in the Waldviertel – fresh, intensive. A lovely start evening in a cude place. Danke Dieter, für die wunderbare Gastfreundschaft und das tolle Publikum! Then Bludenz – Remise. Warm welcome by Miriam Schreinzer, director and former program curator from Jeunesse. She invited us to elaborate the project Meus amores. Thanks for the input, thanks for inviting us!
We had an amazing night in Bludenz. Full house – great sound (thanks Horst!) – and a wounderful show. Soft. Surprising. Full of tenderness. We’re excited about the next shows…
