Wenn es draußen wirklich kalt wird, ist es Zeit, die Herzen auf zu wärmen!
Um so mehr hat uns die Anfrage des  Kulturproduzenten José Simoes gefreut, im Rahmen der Brasilianischen Kulturwoche Caminhos Brasileiros im Wiener Völkerkundemuseum ein akustisches Programm zu präsentieren. Und was eignet sich dafür mehr, als Meus Amores – Meine Lieben, das Programm das wir schon 2010, gemeinsam mit Benjamim Taubkin und Margarethe Deppe im ausverkauften Wiener Konzerthaus präsentiert hatten!
Eine Woche lang wird im Museum für Völkerkunde in Wien die brasilianische Kultur in ihrer Vielfalt beleuchtet. Begleitend zur aktuellen Ausstellung „Jenseits von Brasilien“ werden Caminhos Brasileiros – Brasilianische Wege in Literatur, Film und Musik vorgestellt: ein Programm, das Perlen der Gegenwartskunst und – Kultur Brasiliens in Österreich präsentiert.
Und Célia Mara’s Konzert bildet den Abschluß!

Meus Amores: Célia Mara unplugged
Das Aufregendste aller Gefühle – die Liebe – steht im Mittelpunkt von Célia Mara’s Meus Amores – ihrem akustischem Programm. Heißblütig und feurig, schmeichelnd, fordernd, provozierend, wild, dann wieder schmachtend, verloren in ungewollter Einsamkeit entführt sie ihr Publikum in intensive brasilianischen Gefühlswelten!

Célia Mara braut einen prickelnden Liebestrank aus Bossa Nova und brasilianischer Folklore, verbindet Valsas, Balladen, Latin Jazz und Tango, Boleros und Afro zu einem exotischen Cocktail des ganz Normalen: der grenzenlosen, unbeschreiblichen Liebe.

Akustisch, ausgefeilt und überraschend, verbindet das Programm intensive Interpretationen mit instrumentaler Perfektion – elektronische Klänge durchbrechen Erwartungshaltungen, lassen die ZuhörerInnen immer Neues entdecken. Hautnah lässt Célia Mara ihre sinnliche, raue Stimme erklingen, in einem intimen Zusammenspiel mit ihren kongenialen Partnern an Klavier und Bratsche. Mit dem – erstmals in Österreich auftretenden – Griechen Nikos Pardalakis am Piano und dem klassisch ausgebildeten Brasilianer Jadenir Lacorte gehen zwei großartige Musiker auf die Liebesreise…
Am Programm stehen Célia Mara’s hochkarätige Eigenkompositionen, liebevoll verwoben mit Perlen der brasilianischen Musikgeschichte. Zu erwarten ist eine Nacht voll Poesie und tiefer Gefühle, getragen von einer leidenschaftlichen Sängerin und grandiosen MusikerInnen.

anyhow, we’re back now. Back from the first Meus Amores Shows with Benjamim Taubkin/Brazil/piano & Margarethe Deppe/Germany/cello…
We started our small Austria début Tour in Gutenbrunn @ Bühnenwirtshaus Juster. 2 worky days in the Waldviertel – fresh, intensive. A lovely start evening in a cude place. Danke Dieter, für die wunderbare Gastfreundschaft und das tolle Publikum! Then Bludenz – Remise. Warm welcome by Miriam Schreinzer, director and former program curator from Jeunesse. She invited us to elaborate the project Meus amores. Thanks for the input, thanks for inviting us!
We had an amazing night in Bludenz. Full house – great sound (thanks Horst!) – and a wounderful show. Soft. Surprising. Full of tenderness. We’re excited about the next shows…

The Brazilian Singer-Songwriter Célia Mara presents a new program, dedicated to the most exciting feelings you’ve ever experienced… Love. It’s an acoustic program, sophisticated, combining intensive interpretations with instrumental perfection.
On stage, you’ll get a magic powder, an exciting love-portion out of Bossa Nova and Brazilian folklore, Latin Jazz and Tango, Boleros and Rumbas – welcome in “Emozônia”! This is an acoustic, contemporary experience, playing with sweet temptation and sensual seduction, full of suspense, surprising sonoric textures, opening new worlds with each song. Be aware!
To expect is a Brazilian night full of poetry and intensive feelings, a journey into the depth of prickling sentiments, discovering Brazilian love songs – some classical ones as well as those written by Célia Mara.

Célia Mara joined two of Brazil’s most extraordinary instrumental artists Benjamim Taubkin and Margarethe Deppe to discover this smooth world together with her. On piano, the virtuosu Benjamim Taubkin from São Paolo will give his personal flavor to Mara’s Brazilian love songs… Benjamim is surely one of Brazil’s most recommended piano-players, well known for his border- and genre crossing work in contemporary music, as director of big symphonic orchestras as well as Solist or Bandleader in chamber music, in Choro or in Jazz. You might know him as well as Sissy Possi’s sideman. On Cello: you will discover Margarethe Deppe, the third woman in “meus amores”. She is an impressive instrumentalist with surprising and creative interpretations between different styles and genres.
Célia Mara, Brazilian singer songwriter resident in Austria, is among Europe’s most renowned Brazilian world music artist’s, her latest albums “bastardista” and “Santa Rebeldia” were highly acclaimed by the international critics, with her band she brought her extraordinary bastardsound into big concert halls and festivals in Europe, Northern Africa and Russia.

A cantora brasileira Célia Mara apresenta um novo programa, dedicado ao que há de mais apaixonante na vida… ao AMOR. É um programa acústico, sofisticado, combinando interpretações intensas com instrumental de altíssimo nível.
As canções tratam do amor e seus derivados, ciúme, perdão, traição, paixão, solidão… Fala do amor-á-primeira-vista, do amor espíritual, homosexual, à natureza, tradicional etc…
No palco prá namorar uma porção de magia – “pó mágico” – porção do amor – pega rapaz –pega moça pega todo mundo. É um programa composto de Bossa, folclore, Latin Jazz, Tango, Boleros, baladas, afro,… benvindos na “Emozônia”! É uma experiênça acústica, contemporânea cheia de suspense, de texturas sonoras surpreendentes, a cada canção um novo mundo.
Cuidado! Você vai viver uma noite Brasileira cheia de poesias e de emoções intensas, uma viagem dentro do mundo dos sentimentos puros, ouvindo algum “clássico” do amor brasileiro e – sobretudo – descobrindo canções de amor escritas por Célia Mara.
Acompanhada por nada mais nada menos, que um dos melhores instrumentistas contemporâneos do Brasil, o grande pianista paulista Benjamim Taubkin, que dá em tudo um toque de piano impecável, que sabe explorar , além dos lindos e limpídos timbres, uma harmonia de um gosto de quem se sabe exato.

O trio vem formado com Célia Mara – voz e violão, o Benjamim Taubkin, piano e Margarethe Deppe no cello.
O tour de abril os levará em vários teatros da Àustria – e sobretudo na maior sala de música clássica e contemporânea – Konzerthaus de Viena; estarão também se apresentando em sala prestígiadas da Slovênia, em Ljubjlana no Cankarjev Dom.
Célia Mara, cantora, compositora há mais de 15 anos residindo na Àustria, é considerada uma das mais importantes artistas Brasileiras de worldmusic na Europa ; seus útimos albuns “Bastardista” e “Santa Rebeldia” foram aclamados pela crítica internacional, se apresentou com a sua banda em importantíssimas salas de concertos, como na Ópera de Viena, assim como em grandes festivais na Europa, África do Norte ,Rússia. 2010 a levará para o México e os Estados Unidos.

we will be going to brazil next week to build up our community project casa matria in vila brandão… and start with the rehearsals for the great cooperation with benjamim taubkin & lui coimbra – meus amores! you will love it!
for our viennese friends, we still have 2 very interesting dates:
